Why I decided to start food blogging

I've always been interested in how we connect with others. It began by spending my high school years involved with TV broadcasting. Ultimately, I went on the study journalism and then advertising at the University of Florida.

Along the way, I found a deep love for cooking. Not just because it was satisfying to be able to make restaurant quality food at home, but because of the way cooking became an extension of myself.

There's a certain give and take when you're sharing a meal with someone. It's the pinnacle of mindfulness -- a moment where you're both entirely present, and the world around you melts together in your peripheral.

It's in those moments where we learn the most about each other, and sometimes, ourselves. I want to help you bring these moments to your home, your dining room table, the couch, the park, or wherever else you choose to eat.

In the words of Anthony Bourdain, “Good food is very often, even most often, simple food."
